Care packages

I am going to be putting together care packages for the Canadian Troops over in Afghanistan. It must be SO SO hard to be away from family and away from your home country. Little care packages are great for the troops morale.
If anyone would like to donate, that would be greatly appreciated. You can donate money if you would like and i can go out and buy stuff, or you can donate items and mail them to me. I will then put it all into boxes and deliver to Belleville, as that is where they send the mail out from.
I will take pictures of the stuff I buy with donated money just to show that I haven't used the money for personal gain :)
Items that can be included in care packages and would be loved over there are:
Any deodorants, soaps, foot powders, creams, lip balm.
Socks, underware, sheets, (single),
Dvd's , books, puzzles, handheld games
Candies, cookies, beef jerky, hot rods, kraft dinners, any snacks ..no chocolate or perishibles
magazines, newspapers
water guns, water balloons
anything you think they would enjoy
remember that there are men AND women serving.

If you would like to donate money or items, let me know and I'll give you my addy or even my bank account # so you can send it.

Oh yah, if you want to add letters or pictures from kids that would be great too.
Thanks everyone

Hey suzie its me Becky as a wife of a deployed soldier to Iraq for now more then 14 months and still going I thought I would give you a few more ideas to step up moral. Gatoraid/Chrystal lite is Great they can throw it in there camel backs, gum, hard candies, written letters and kids pictures that they have drawn. You can also send candy so they can give it out to the children over there. They carry them in there pockets and hand them out. Hubby has also served to consecutive deployments to Afgan Land YOU we are always on the go. Fitness magazine, hot pockets you activate them to keep there hands warm in there gloves the mountains and nights will start to get cold soon,BABYWIPES,hair ties for the women, heck I could go on if you need anymore ideas as a vetern wife to tours I can help you out. I also haven't fogotten about our Canadian soldiers even though I am now apart of the US Army. I had a lotta great friends in the Canadian Army we both have. Hope you all are doing well. Our lil girls are growing so quickly 6 months already :( Number 2 starting Nov 2007 LOL. Take Care Girl
