I applied to work at the border about a month ago. I got a letter in the mail today saying that I passed the screening process and that I've got to go write a french test in April. The top 100 scores will than proceed further on.
Well, on the application, I explicitly stated that I don't speak french, I don't read it well and I don't write it. But they still screened me in!
I'm going to write the test anyways, and hope that less than 100 ppl write it and than I'll go on through to the interview.

Oh, well this is a different job. The one that I start on Monday is at the border, but at a customs broker. The one that I am going to write the test for is a customs inspector position, at the border but it's with the gov't.
It just happened that I got this letter when i'm starting a new job :P
